Ever since mimeograph
machines showed up in offices and schools, people have been writing
and drawing funny stuff — often with a sexual or scatological
theme — and distributing it to friends who, in turn, often
made more copies, and so on. The original author's/artist's name
would get quickly lost (if anyone had every claimed it to begin
with) and so, today, we have thousands of anonymous stories and
cartoons circulating via copier, fax, and Internet. A few of the
